Privacy policy

What we collect

Reading this site does not require an account and does not require you to give us anything. There is no application form on this site: we do not ask for your name, your contact details, your income or your social insurance number, and there is no field in which to send them. The calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you type into them leaves your device. When you continue through a partner link, any information you then provide is given to that partner directly, on their site, under their privacy policy.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. Analytics data is aggregate, it is not used to make a credit decision, and it is not sold. Your browser may also store the site's stylesheet and icons in its cache, which is a performance measure, not tracking.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies of its own. A partner you reach through a commercial link may set its own cookies once you are on their site; that is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.

Third parties

We have no request data to disclose, because we do not collect any. We do not sell personal information and we have none to sell. Where we are required to disclose information by law, we will say so unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Retention and your rights

Write to hello@loanmoose.ca to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Canadian privacy law gives you the right to access and correct personal information held about you, and to complain to the appropriate regulator if you are not satisfied with the response.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

loanmoose.ca is a loan reference and comparison publisher. We are not a lender. We do not make loans, set rates, or make credit decisions, and we do not collect applications. The lowest rates are only available to the most qualified applicants. Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice.
