loanmoose.ca is a Canadian borrowing reference and comparison publisher. It exists to answer the questions people actually have before they sign a loan agreement: which product fits, what the province requires, what the arithmetic looks like, and what is not being said in the advertisement.

What this site is not

We are not a lender, a broker of record, a credit counsellor, or an insolvency trustee. We do not make loans, set rates, or make credit decisions. We do not charge you for anything. We do not run an application form, we do not ask you for your name or contact details, and we do not pass anything about you to anyone: when you continue through a partner link you deal with that partner directly and their own form applies.

How the pages are built

Most pages on this site are generated from structured data rather than typed by hand — city pages from the 2021 Census of Population, province pages from the provincial regulator list, rate pages from the Bank of Canada's public series. That structure is what lets every figure carry its publisher and its date. A smaller number of pages, and every guide, are written editorial work; those are reviewed against the same rules.

Where the figures come from

Benchmark rates come from the Bank of Canada. Population and land-area figures come from Statistics Canada. Regulatory statements are attributed to the regulator that publishes them. Every published value on this site shows a publisher and an as-of date; where a figure has not been verified against the publisher's own publication, the page links to the publisher instead of printing a number.

How the site is paid for

Some links on this site are commercial links. If you follow one and continue with a partner, that partner may pay us. This does not change what a page says, and it does not change the order of anything presented as information. The affiliate disclosure sets out the detail.

If a figure on this site is wrong, it should be fixed. Write to the address on the contact page with the page and the source you are comparing against.
